FINAL CONFERENCE HAMONEE
Mobility for tomorrow.
People. Experiences. Ideas.
HAW Hamburg, 25. Sept. 2024
GO TO REGISTRATION”HaMoNee is a success story in enabling students, teachers and researchers to gain a global understanding of culture, environment and technology.
HaMoNee stands for Hamburg/Hanoi Mobile Engineers. HAW Hamburg cooperates with a number of industry partners, and with five renowned universities: Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), University of Transport Technology (UTT), Phenikaa University in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the Vietnamese-German University (VGU). Since 2021 the project had more than 100 participants from both countries. By learning together, solving problems together and showing each other their homeland, they developed valuable skills, that will benefit them during their entire professional life.
The final conference will take place on 25 September in Hamburg and we are particularly pleased that the Senator for Economics and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Dr. Melanie Leonhard, will welcome us and our guests from all Vietnamese partner universities.
Focus on internationalisation
By focussing on Vietnam as a high-growth and high-investment production and development location, HaMoNee contributes to the international competitiveness of HAW Hamburg.
Through the project, HAW Hamburg aims to support engineering students’ and instructors’ international mobility, along with their research and application potential. The project is intended to serve as the foundation for developing strategic and long-term partnerships with partners in Vietnam and across the region.

A fascinating country: Vietnam
Vietnam is one of the most interesting countries in Southeast Asia, not only for travelers but also for investors. The country is one of the fastest growing economies in the region. The transition from a centrally managed economy to a socialist market economy has resulted in a per capita income that is now seven times higher than it was 20 years ago. Vietnam is not only a popular tourist destination, but also an increasingly attractive production location.
